Cafe Hitch-hike

It all just felt so true

"There were many things I misunderstood about you," he said, "and I regretted it."

I saw it from his perspective, and it didn't upset me. Everyone doesn't know everything. I thought it was part of 2 people getting to know each other, which can take a very long time.

"That just goes to show my intuition isn't always right on," he said.

He continued and held up a few fingers, as if to count, "but you are one of my favorite people. You are one of my best friends."

I felt those words in my heart, and I knew them to be true. I felt a soft glow, and smiled without thinking of it.

"You are my friend," he said, and I nodded. We leaned into each other and held each other.

It all just felt so true.
